TO ORDER TIX:
Jimmy
Tingle's OFF BROADWAY Theater does its online and telephone ticketing
through TheaterMania. To buy tix directly through TheaterMania

ON
LINE: Click Buy
Tix Now. BUT WAIT! Remeber to check the current
specials page to get discount tix using the "secret code".
How?
Type in the "secret code" where Theatermania asks for
the "promotion code" (at the bottom of the screen, under
the calendar). For the Cyber-Challenged (like me) click here to
get a step-by-step walkthrough.
(NOTE: Secret Codes can only be used with TheaterMania
online or telephone purchases!)

mention the "secret code" for your discount tickets!
PLEASE NOTE:
TheaterMania stops selling tickets for each show 2 hours before
showtime. (For example, you will not be able to buy tickets from
TheaterMania for Friday's show starting at 5:30pm, Friday evening.)
So please get your tickets in advance! If you
need tickets less than 2 hours before the show, you may purchase
them in person at the theater box office (see Theater Info below).

BY STEP TICKET ORDER INSTRUCTIONS:
Ticket-buying
walk-through for the Cyber-Challenged: When I
actually tried out the ordering process, I accidentally clicked
the link "check for discounts" which put me into a loop.
I admit, I'm cyber-challenged. So, for those of you out there
like me, here's what you actually do to buy discount tickets:
1.
Click our "Buy Tix Now" link (above)
2. At TheaterMania: scroll down below the calendar
and enter the "secret code" in their "promotion
code" box
3. Hit "refresh" (there's a button
to refresh right there)
4. Available dates show up on their calendar
in yellow.
5. Choose the date you want
6. Choose the showtime (easy - there's only one
choice)
7. Choose the number of discount seats you want
8. Hit "submit"
9. Humph. Find out they charge a $1.50 or $2.00
service fee per ticket ... but then realize you don't feel so
bad about that because you got a discount anyway and the show's
going to be great.
10. Let us know if it doesn't work. Email info@hipharp.com
11. Or... just give up and call
for tickets. They can take the secret code over the phone,
too.
12. See you at the show!
TICKET-BUYING
F.A.Q's:
It’s a little confusing, but once you understand it, there
are a lot of great deals!
Standard tickets and "Special Price" Tickets
can all be ordered through TheaterMania: Note
that there is a service charge on all tickets ordered on line.
But there are several ways to avoid service charges. (see “How
to Avoid Service Charges” below). Theatermania stops selling
tickets for any show 2 hours before the show. At that point, the
JTOB Box Office is open and you’ll need to get tickets directly
from the Box Office.
Service Charges: ALL tickets
bought online incur a service charge. The amount of the charge
varies, depending on the ticket price. We haven’t quite
figured out the logic, but as of this writing, $20 tix incur a
$2 service charge, $18 and under seem to all incur a $1.50 serivce
charge.
Box Office:1-617-591-1616
/ 255 Elm Street / Davis Square, Somerville - There’s no
service charge if people buy tickets at the box office window.
If they have a special code they can use it at the Box Office,
or through Theatermania. Box Office is only open 2 hours before
any show — so the best way to find out when the Box Office
is open is to call the Box Office for hours.
Group Sales: 10 or more
tickets are 10% off, people call 1-617-591-1616 and there is no
service charge for group sales tickets.
How to Avoid Service Charges: Buy
tickets at the Jimmy Tingle’s OFF BROADWAY Theatre Box Office
(see “Box Office” above) - OR - Buy in groups of 10
or more tickets and order by phone direct from the JTOB Box Office.
Children and Students with ID: Children
and students are 1/2 price at all times for all shows. They can
buy tickets in advance, but they have to show valid ID at the
door.
Seniors: Seniros get 10%
off at all shows. They can buy tickets in advance, but they have
to look really old at the door.
DHC Cyber-Fan Specials and JTOBSpecials: All
specials can be redeemed through Theatermania , so long as you
have the secret-special-code (you input it when you order the
tix). You can also use your secret code at the Box Office by writing
it down in invisible ink on an orange peel and passing it through
the ultraviolet ray hidden in the JTOB keyhole. Or you can just
tell the person in the Box Office the secret code. But you have
to whisper.
Mixing Specials: You can
only use one discount at a time. Discounts cannot be combined.
You can’t mix specials (i.e. Seniors can’t get 10%
off on 1/2 price tickets.) Sojust find the best special and stick
with it. Hey, just being at this show is special in and of itself!
