Everyone probably has their favorite masterpiece Christmas depictions, from the Adoration of the Magi by Leonardi da Vinci in 1481 to The Sistine Madonna by Raphael in 15 12.  You can look at those here.

But me … I like the drawings I commissioned years ago from artist Ellen Lebow.  Every one of them depicts the harp-lady in some shenanigan with Santa.

Will they ever be added to the Sistine Chapel?  Maybe not – but they make ME really, really happy and I hope you enjoy them, too.

I colored in the drawing above and even created downloadable holiday gift paper from it.

The drawing below was from when I was playing in a duo with bass player Peter Kontrimas.  At that time, Ellen created drawings for me nearly every month, which we use to illustrate our concerts and shared in my newsletter and on greeting cards.

I had a lot of fun coloring the one below as well.  When Ellen first created them for me, we were printing my newsletters on newsprint and sending them via post – so black-and-white line drawing were perfect for that medium.

Using photoshop I was able to take those original drawings and colorize them, which gives them a whole new life for the web.  Plus it was really fun to do! It was so much fun that I created a PDF booklet of some of my favorite Harp-lady drawings by Ellen Lebow that you can color in:  Download my FREE “Harp Coloring Pages” here.

Happy Holiday!  I hope you enjoyed these.
