5-Day Summer Performance Intensive at Celebration Barn

"Wired for Love!"
Live Show This Weekend!
Stories of Romance
Download Collection

Live Show Sat. Feb. 12

Yup - Valentine's Day is almost here. But Romance isn't just happy couples in soft focus, it's not even chocolates and champagne. Romance is what we bring to the table. It's the spirit of transformation, seeing the extraordinary suddenly explode through the ordinary.

Ecstasy ... heartbreak...pleasure ... anguish. Oh boy... Its funny - it's tender - it's human - and it makes for great music and stories! And that's what my show will be about this Sat. Feb. 12th at the Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury, MA, a great new intimate cabaret-type music hall with beautiful acoustics and an ocean view.

And Romance -- from first blush to love gone bad is what I've been blogging, recording and practicing (that's the most fun part, by the way ...)

So if you're anywhere near the North Shore of Boston this Saturday night, come to the show - which includes my special guest, Amy Petty, with a voice like dark honey and a special Valentine's "Bubbles & Bites" package that features Champagne, Artison Cheese & Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Yum! (I wonder if the performers get that, too ...)

And if you don't live in the North East? Please join me to celebrate the spirit of romance, anyway. Read my Blog, keep an eye out for a new Download Collection and share my new video at YouTube. Because Valentine's Day is a date on the calendar ... but romance is a way of looking at the world.

Stories of Romance

I've been blogging like mad, trying to get as many of my stories about romance down in print before Valentine's Day. In fact, I made a committment to post one story a day 'til Feb. 14.

Some like My First Kiss, First Love Song, and Taste of Romance are memories from my own life. Others are ... er ... well they definitely have elements of truth, like my grandparent's secret love affaire, and others read almost like children's stories: The Music Box and My Mother's Mexican Hat , and one (What's In a Name)is about how fans helped me find the title "Wired for Love" got its name. I also wrote about my upcoming show with the Tacoma Symphony. And I love it when people leave comments at my blog - then it feels like an exchange, a conversation - so please subscribe and comment.

Download Collections
If you're creating your own romance for Valentine's Day, check out my "Candlelight Dining" download collection. My lovely assistant, Beatriz, and I collected all the best dining songs from all my albums and put them on one collection you can download and play immediately.

And keep your fingers crossed for me for what I hope will be the imminent release of the "Wired for Love" download collection of love-songs. I'm scrambling to finish just a couple more tunes in my studio so I can get it to you by this weekend, so stay tuned, and if you get another email from me this week -- that'll mean we got it out!

Most importantly, I hope my writing my shows and my music helps you kick off a year in which romance and love -- of whatever you do -- fills your life. Now go forth and romance!
