I'm introduced by the gracioius
Festival organizer Sylviane Paige...
And... and make a speech in my
very bad French ("Ah, no, but your accent is adorable!"
they say ... sigh... they are so kind), clutching the
bag that holds the first copy of "Baroque Flamenco"
which I've spent the last four weeks struggling to finish
-- just for this moment!
| |
| I
present the first copy of "Baroque Flamenco"
to Arles Mayor... |
... and am rewarded with a kiss...
| ...
a bouquet and a beautiful book with photos of beautiful
Arles, which now sits in my livingroom. |
Then I play "Baroque Flamenco"
for the people of Arles.
... and get a standing ovation.
So I decide to stand up, too.
The
crew worked all morning to set up and TUNE all these harps
for my hand's-on harp workshop. |
I
don't know what I'm saying here, but I look imperious!
(And I don't even know exactly what 'imperious' means!) |
| |
Looking at the world through
the prototype of my new carbon fibre harp.
| |
And playing my final concert.
Adieu
to Arles, for now!
