To the DHC Hip-Harp Street Team Page!

My new DHC Street-Team is in its infancy and we're still toddling around and falling from time to time but but we're not drooling anymore, so that's good! Here's the lowdown on Street-Team Membership:

We're have TWO Street Teams - and you can be on both!

#1: The Physical Street Team is made up of members who post posters, leave flyers, invite friends and generally create a buzz wherever I have a show (assuming you live near there).

#2: The Cyber Street Team is made up of members who post messages, tweet tweets, send widgets, post event info on calendars, invite friends, blog, comment and generally create a cyber-buzz in their own neighborhoods of the internet.

And here's the best part of membership: You don't actually have to join anything! You just let us know you want to help us (us being me and my lovely assistant, Beatriz) and then we tell you how (as soon as we figure it out ourselves).

OUR CURRENT MISSION: Is to sell-out my Nov. 6th "Honey, I Shrunk the Harp!" show at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA. We're off to a great start, and I'd LOVE your help to get that "SOLD OUT!" sign on the door before opening night (er ... which, is also closing night - it's a one-night show)!

STEP ONE: MAKE CONTACT:

Since we're still new at this and our fancy automated system isn't set up yet, the first thing you should do is email us to let us know you want to be on the street team, and which team(s) you want to be on. Here's the info to put in that email:
  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Zipcode
  • Whether you want to join the Physical Street Team, the Cyber Street Team, or both (If you are interested in the Cyber Team you should also enter your email in the box at the bottom of the page)
Then put on your decoder ring and await further instructions.

PHYSICAL STREET TEAM
Here's what you'll do and what prizes and rewards you'll get -- well, aside from my ecstatic and vociferous gratitude!
   

YOU DO
  • Hang posters or flyers around town at local businesses and community bulletin boards.
  • Tell all your friends about the show
  • If I plan a surprise Street Performance and you're available, you'll come hand out flyers and take photos and videos, sing along, generally have fun and egg me on as I play my harp and sing on the street.
  • We might also invite you to help usher or carry things around before, after - or during the show, and if you're available and you want to do it, we'll be very happy.

YOU GET
  • 1 free audio download just for joining the team
  • A special cartoon I will draw for you of whatever you want on the paper of your choice - (even if you ask me to draw a cow giving a political speech -- which is a difficult drawing - believe me, I know)
  • Tea and toast after the street performance
  • If you're at the show and you want to, I'll introduce the street team and you get to stand up and bow and have everyone clap.
 
   
CYBER STREET TEAM
   

YOU DO
  • Tell your friends on Facebook, Twitter and via email about Deborah and the show by sharing widgets that we supply
  • Find other places online to share the widgets and event info like blogs, events calendars, and anything else you come up with

YOU GET
  • 1 free audio download just for joining the team
  • 3 more audio downloads if you share with at least 25 people
  • If we're ever able to figure out the automated street team funcionality at ReverbNation.com, then the street teamer with the most shares gets 2 reserved tickets to the show (which you can use yourself, or if you don't live near the show, you can amaze and astound some lucky friends or relatives with) - and I will draw a cartoon of whatever you want and email it to you (unless you're coming to the show, in which case, I will give it to you personally)
  • If you're at the show and you want to, I'll introduce the street team and you get to stand up and bow and have everyone clap.

If you're signing up for the Cyber Street Team you should enter your email address here. I know it looks like you're joining the mailing list, but the sign-up above gets you into the "ReverbNation" system where you'll become a 'fan' and have access to the Mission info, including how you're doing on the campaign.
