16:51:37 From Kathryn Kelly to Everyone : What are you playing with your thumb on the “slap”
16:52:04 From Sally to Everyone : I’m okay
16:52:07 From Kathryn Kelly to Everyone : I can hear everything
16:52:08 From Maria Wilson to Everyone : you play the note and the octave above at the same time and then slap the note then the next note
16:52:19 From Tovelah Hirsch to Everyone : D=2, G=5, C=1, A=6
16:52:28 From Stefanie Bieber to Everyone : On the slap is no note, it is a slap ;o=
16:52:42 From Tara to Everyone : Could be device has small speakers. Try headphones?
16:52:48 From Stefanie Bieber to Everyone : The thumb plays After the slap
16:53:16 From Maria Wilson to Everyone : Not understanding the thumb thing?
16:53:52 From Kathryn Kelly to Everyone : Ok – salt, play thump and then the main nite
16:53:53 From Stefanie Bieber to Everyone : 1= 4th finger, 2 = slap, and = thumb on the next note, 4 = slap
16:53:57 From Tara to Everyone : The thumb just plays a half beat earlier than the lowest note, but it works fine to play at same time, too.

17:25:13 From Cathy Hornby to Everyone : I’ve been so happy to (sometimes) hit those slap-bass-octaves! Yay! Love it!
17:25:14 From Maria Wilson to Everyone : getting the idea of the progression and how that works in more than one key…and also ways to change keys while I am playing…..with glissandos
17:25:20 From Laurie Grant to Everyone : Such a fun game! Dropping left hand to help me develop vary more fluidly in the right hand…….
17:25:20 From Kimberly’s iPad to Everyone : It was helpful to take a minute when switching from C to G to really focus in and know where you were going to go with 2, 5, 1,6
17:25:39 From Kathryn Kelly to Everyone : Great practice changing levers/pedals
17:25:42 From Joke Verdoold to Everyone : The basses work, the melody notes get me offline and I miss knowing how to put the chords between the basses.
17:25:42 From Carol Henley to Everyone : In the waltz rhythm, I felt like I was dancing — on the strings.
17:25:43 From Sally to Everyone : Still have to work on getting bran in new key.

17:26:06 From Sally to Everyone : Great progression. Can lay down just about anything over it.
17:26:06 From Tara to Everyone : I wound up playing different bass notes, which often amounted to an inversion. Sometimes the wrong notes work great!
17:26:22 From Cathy Hornby to Everyone : The other great thing is being able to listen for the rhythm changes and copy – fab!
17:26:45 From Barb Lawson to Everyone : I could keep up with 2, 5, 1, 6
17:27:09 From Kathy DeAngelo to Everyone : My game was to do the bassline going in one direction, then the other while I kept my right hand doing inversions
17:30:03 From sarah to Everyone : Using D#, was cool. I’m understanding more about the complex cords . I heard and try to play along with the cool rhythms, I will try to copy them in a replay. I was trying to do something new with the G cord patron, but using B flat a lot was not working whole the time. I looking forward to improve my knowledge in this.
17:30:08 From Cathy Hornby to Everyone : That is so helpful – when I try to do something new on left, the right freezes – that such good advice
17:30:25 From Laurie Grant to Everyone : That was a very helpful breakdown of getting both hands to work together. Thanks!!!
17:30:36 From Barb Lawson to Everyone : Thank you for that hint.
17:33:22 From Stefanie Bieber to Everyone : I sent you 4 videos for latin rhythms, that show another way to practice coordination, did you get them?
17:33:52 From Laurie Grant to Everyone : I want to make up a drill for myself – with all the right hand variations – to go fluently from one to another like you do……. Quite a challenge!!
