About the Intermediate Steps

Steps 5, 6 & 7 were created as an intermediate version of the advanced-level warmups.

Note that some steps have two alternate endings. That’s because if you keep using the same ending you’ll go off the top or the bottom of the harp.  So if you starting to get to high or low on your harp, choose the other ending, or try alternating endings – or make up your own ending.  These first steps of the Modulation Staircase are all about learning to navigate from key to key, not learning how to play the exact notes on the page. 

 Current Status

As of Jan. 31, 2024 we’ve just completed the Pre-Publication edition of Steps 5, 6 & 7 – and YOU can download it and play it below.  Currently there are no training videos, but if you’ve watched the training videos for Steps 1, 2, 3 & 4 you will know how the game works. Simply apply the same principles as you play these warmups, and use the Star Chart Modulation Wheel that’s on the Resource Hub as you did with Steps 1, 2, 3 & 4.
