They\u2019re at the heart of EVERYTHING we learn in the Academy, and here\u2019s what they \u2018are\u2019:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>FORM<\/strong> is Arrangement form or structure (including the 5-Part Arrangement form, the jazz map, the Blues overall structure, Baroque Flamenco structure). Why is that important? Being able to see the realm, or key, that you&#8217;re in, tells you what notes to use in building the chords of that realm and playing melodic improvisations of that realm. and enjoy - the Chat:<\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Try to arrive<\/strong> 10-15 minutes in advance<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Turn off all other applications<\/strong> that connect to the web (like Skype, Facebook, etc.)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Watch the short info video<\/strong> on the \"Chat Info\" link in the sidebar get familiar with how our chat interface works<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Connect via ethernet<\/strong> (versus wifi) if you can (but most people can't so don't worry too much about this)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>You will not have to speak or use your camera, or headphones.\u00a0<\/strong> You'll be watching the video and you'll be able to ask questions using the chat function by typing so you don't have to get dressed up, and you can even bring loud, crunchy snacks!<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>You don't have to bring your harp to the chats.<\/strong> In Hip Harp Toolkit they're not usually playalong chats.\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anymeeting.com\/HipHarp1\" target=\"_blank\"><< <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Link here on the day of the chat<\/span> >><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h6><strong>If you have technical problems during the chat, like video freezing or being choppy:<\/strong><\/h6>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Wait for 10-15 seconds<\/strong> to see if it improves.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>If it doesn't, you can quit the program and log back in.\u00a0<\/strong> That usually fixes 95% of the problems.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Remember - we're pushing the technology by<\/strong> having the level of interactivity we have, the number of people we have on line, and by including images and music - so it's not like watching television.\u00a0 The fidelity is usually much better on the replays, so if the connection isn't working for you, you'll be able to watch the replay.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Don't worry about getting EVERYTHING<em>.\u00a0 <\/em>Just try to get \"something\" and write down your takeaways.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>To send questions in advance, use the \"Ask a Question\" form on the sidebar<\/strong> -
