In which we learn to play a Celtic-Inspired Rondo based on “Drunken Sailor” – with a funky improv section.<\/p>\n

We played in Aminor and the form was:\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. Intro with ‘pedal tone’ A in the bass and chords above it: Am – G – F – G<\/li>\n
  2. The ‘setup’ (playing the bass groove with the Left Hand 4 times)<\/li>\n
  3. ||:\u00a0 Melody – Setup – Blowing (Improv) ending with a Bluesy “Fill”\u00a0 :||\u00a0 Repeat as desired, ending with the Melody and end with a 3x turnaround at the end of the Melody<\/li>\n
  4. The Blowing (Improv) section has a static bass (the A minor groove), with these chords over it:
