“There’s so much variety in the Blueprints, and they can be played simply or with increasing complexity … so there was immediate gratification which encouraged me to practice even more! Thank you!” — Margie Bekoff
“Blueprints for Creativity” is a powerful collection of seven immersion trainings from Deborah Henson-Conant to help you build repertoire quickly while increasing your creativity.
Each Blueprint is like a recipe – it gives you the formula and the training to create music using a simple compositional form – and you get seven different forms.
This is the perfect program to prepare you for Deborah’s yearlong program, “Hip Harp Academy” – and when you join now, you have the option to upgrade later within the first 30 days to the full Academy membership.
“Blueprints…” gives you
Seven separate bite-sized immersion trainings – each with its own video training, blueprint and playsheet. So you can learn at your own pace
The ability to create new repertoire at YOUR exact skill level – and build your improv skills and creative expression as you play
The ability to change style from meditative, therapeutic style to concert or background-music styles

This Immersion Collection includes:
- SEVEN INDIVIDUAL TRAININGS, each 90-120 minutes long, including play-alongs, each based on a separate Blueprint
- SEVEN BLUEPRINTS that you can use over and over to create hundreds of pieces and arrangements
- SEVEN PLAYSHEETS with simple sheet music to help you apply what you learn
- SIX MONTHS ACCESS to the class to watch and review as many times as you want.
All classes have already been recorded LIVE, so you get the experience of being there with other students and get to access the recorded Q&A Sessions.
By the end of the Class You Will Be able to Play:
Seven basic ‘Blueprints’ for repertoire development, creative expression and improv practice:
- Rondo Form Blueprint: Using the Example of “Baroque Flamenco”
- Song Form Blueprint: Using the Example of “The Nightingale”
- 5-Part Arrangement Form Blueprint to build out any simple tune into a complete arrangement
- Blues Blueprint – With 3 different Blues Examples
- Vamp-Expander Blueprint: Using the Example of “Claire de Lune”
- Story-Form Blueprint: 7-Section “Tell Your Story with Music” form
- Motiv Suite Blueprint: Using the example of the 5-Movement “Vision Music” Suite
- PLUS the Bonus Blueprint: Video Greeting Card & Clarify Your Vision” Video Training
You learn to think like a composer:
These are simplified forms, or distillations, the kinds that composers, arrangers or improvisers use to build music with. They can be played very simply – or as complex as you want, and all can be adapted. The beauty is that you can play them now, at the technical level you are right now, and then allow them to expand as your playing and comfort-level with the forms expands.
Knowing how to use these blueprints means you can ‘put together’ a show, a set, a concert – or just a variety of pieces in different ways that allow you to quickly create music, and deeply connect with audiences – whether that’s in your home with family, working in a therapeutic situation, playing background or event music (like weddings or parties) – or on a concert stage.

Meet your coach: Deborah Henson-Conant
I’m Deborah Henson-Conant, and I’ve been composing, arranging and creating shows since I was a kid. I now play shows with symphonies and on solo stages with the electric harp that was created for me by CAMAC Harps, the “DHC” Harp.
But I started on the ukulele, playing and singing my own little-kid arrangements, telling stories, improvising and playing and singing with other people. And guess what? I use many of the same skills and principles to arrange the music I record and perform today – including the Grammy-Nominated album “Invention & Alchemy” and the song that won first prize in the International Songwriting Competiton (ISC).
