Deborah Henson-Conant - 2012 Symphony Listening Room

--> PLEASE ALWAYS REFRESH YOUR SCREEN <--
(In case I've edited or added material). Thanks!

Below is audio (and video when possible) - private, for study purposes only - for the tunes of mine that we'll play together. Some audio is archival or midi-generated - so please forgive the sound quality, the squashed video image and hopefully the video won't take too long to load.

If audio or video doesn't show up for songs that are not marked 'solo harp,' please just wait a little while - there's a lot for this page to load and it sometimes take a few minutes!

Minstrel & the Wild Harp (INTRO) [Trad/Henson-Conant]

This is a flute & orchestral harp feature, as underscoring under the story I tell. At right is a video so you can see how this works.

In this excerpt, I sing the final line before the Flute & Harp duet begins.

Here's a PDF of the music. Note that theres NO "DC al Coda" -- You'll just repeat m's11 & 12 twice - as in this excerpt (or however it's written in the part you get in your folder)

Minstrel & the Wild Harp (The) [Trad/Henson-Conant]

CONCERTMASTER/MISTRESS: This has an exposed duet with the soloist which begins around 3min 24seconds on the video. You can play from this PDF verbatim, or if you're an improviser, you can use these ideas as a starting point for playing the duet.

PERCUSSION: Exposed frame-drum (or snareless-snare) - these parts can be done by a solo player or 2-4 players
