Use the Holidays to Superpower your Creativity!
People need connection now more than ever.
Give it straight from your heart – I’ll show you how!
This immersion training teaches you to make your own Video Holiday Card to send to the people you love, one-on-one, with a message of love from YOU.
As you share your love, you stretch your creativity using a simple powerful formula to combine MESSAGE and CREATIVE EXPRESSION – from a master improviser and award-winning composer/performer: Deborah Henson-Conant
What would it cost you to send cards?
What would it cost you to select individual Holiday Cards for all the people you know, buy the stamps and get them to the post office?
How much would you LEARN?
How much would you learn if you just sent cards? You might learn a new route to the post office, a new way to practice social distancing, a new online card company … but would you learn something that would enrich your creative life, develop your understanding of harmony and arrangement – and expand your ability to connect with music and words?
How would it increase your SKILLS?
What new skills would you develop sending cards? You might develop a new level of penmanship, or organizational skills to keep track of who you sent which cards to. But would you develop skills on your instrument, new ways of playing your instrument, of creating arrangements, greater facility with tech?
Use the Holidays to CONNECT and to expand your performance skills
When you develop the art of creating Video Holiday Cards, you’re developing your creative expression in ways that will enrich you for the rest of the year. It’s a perfect gift for the people you love AND for yourself: to increase your performance skills, your tech skills and your learning about improv & arrangement.
Learn to create Holiday Greeting Cards
Videos of one-to-one musical love you can send to everyone this Holiday Season.
You’ll get: Creative training AND the technical skills you need to create and share a one-of-a-kind video greeting card.
This is a multi-module class that breaks down the creative and the technical – including how to set up your camera or phone, how to use lighting, what simple programs you can use to edit your video if needed, how to prepare yourself and how to just let go and do it.
In addition you get:
- A step-by-step script to use or modify any way you want
- 3 different intros you can use over and over
- 3 simple songs you can use if you don’t want to use the music you already play
- 3 different endings including the easy (and impressive!) Harp-Pizazzy Kerfuffle
- A Project Checklist to keep you organized as you stretch your creative wings
- Training in how to put it all together and share it with the people you love – including a Production Checklist
And guess what? You can use this EXACT same training all through the year for birthdays, thank you’s, all holidays from Christmas and Hanukkah to Valentines Day … and any time you want to send a special greeting or a musical hug to someone you love.
You can even use this formula to create a very unique personalized demo for potential customers – or modify it to share live, for personalized messages in bedside situations. Just change out the greeting and the tunes you use and you have a skill to use for any ocassion that calls for a personal touch – or for professional use.
Meet your coach: Deborah Henson-Conant
I’m Deborah Henson-Conant, and I’ve been composing, arranging and creating shows since I was a kid. I now play shows with symphonies and on solo stages with the electric harp that was created for me by CAMAC Harps, the “DHC” Harp.
But I started on the ukulele, playing and singing my own little-kid arrangements, telling stories, improvising and playing and singing with other people. And guess what? I use many of the same skills and principles to arrange the music I record and perform today – including the Grammy-Nominated album “Invention & Alchemy” and the song that won first prize in the International Songwriting Competiton (ISC).
