SEND my WIDGET to CYBERSPACE!
According to marketing Gurus at Berklee College of Music, the main reason people miss concerts is they forget -- or didn't know in the first place!

So help me tell all Seattle I'm playing SUNDAY, JUNE 20th (Yes, Father's Day!) at 7:30 pm in the very cool "Triple Door"club! It's a great concert room, the food's delicious, there's not a bad seat in the house - - and I'm on stage! Click the image at left to get the widget!

The widget actually includes ALL my upcoming shows, in Seattle, Boston, Maine, Germany, Kansas ... so wherever you share it, you'll help build the audience! This widget also includes video, audio and pictures - so it's like sending a tiny website around that shows people what I do and where to see me play.

IT'S FUN to share! Mostly because it's easy. You can share it via social media, email it or embed it in ... er, whatever people embed widgets in (I'm not quite that widget-savvy). Here are all the cool things it does: Plays my songs and video, links to my shows, lists my latest blog entries, lets folks join my mailing list and... it's just plain cool!

Or as Lisa Dolinger Green commented on my Facebook page when I tested the widget this morning, "What a cool "app!" Everything in one little, neat box!"

And just so you know where my next show is, here's the lowdown:

Sun. June 20, 2010 - 7:30 pm (Father's Day!)
THE TRIPLE DOOR
216 Union Street • Seattle, WA 98101
606-838-4333 - Tix & Info Here
$22 Advance / $25 Day of Show

MASTERCLASSES & LESSONS in the GREAT NORTHWEST: From June 20 - July 3, I'll be in Seattle rehearsing my musical "In the Wings." My hosts offered to schedule lessons and masterclasses in my off-hours so email us to join the contact list for lessons & masterclasses - scheduling has been tough because of changes in rehearsal times and lack of bona-fide "off" hours, but let us know if you're interested and they said they'll see if they can find a spot!

And for something completely different ... for $55 you can board a bus July 4th at 5pm at the Hotel Murano with hundreds of harpists from around the USA and head out to Wurlitzer Manor in lovely Gig Harbor for a Gala concert-presentation of the newest version of my All-Harp musical "In the Wings!"

Is this a wacky idea??? Absolutely!!! So don't miss it! The evening includes catered Bar-B-Q Salmon dinner, my musical featuring harpists Casey Pinckney, Meg Mann, Clarice Frederickson, Susi Hussong, Emily Rostykus, Janelle Nadeau,Genevieve Picard, Mark Andersen, me and harp-husband Lynn Andersen -- and, in case you haven't had enough harp by then, post-show entertainment by yet another harpist, Christa Grix and her jazz trio.

If you ever wondered about the steamy sub-culture of the Harp World, this is your chance to be around more harpists than you'll ever see together in one place again! Seriously, the chance to mingle in the midst of one of the most unusual musical fringe cultures on the planet is worth the price of admission -- not to mention seeing the latest version of my new all-harp-all-the-time, someday-we'll-hit-Broadway musical "In the Wings!" Here's a link to tix & more info.

CAN'T MAKE THE SHOWS?
THEN MEET ME IN THE ETHER!

Where I've been blogging about why I go all the way to a Barn in Maine for performance retreats.

Where I've had long discussions on deep topics like how to find a bike-trailer for my harp... or is it a harp-trailer for my bike?

While some use Twitter for real-time posts about what they're doing -- I don't even know what I'm doing 90% of the time! So I oscillate between trying to write 140 character urban Haiku and just posting my cartoons -- on the principle that if one picture's worth 1000 words, every cartoon puts me approximately 976 words ahead of straight-lingual Twitterers. Not that I'm competing. (This description, by the way, is 443 characters, give or take)

Where you can find videos of me playing my own music or - as I discovered recently -- many, many videos of other harpists around the world playing my song, "The Nightingale"

Where I ... er ... well I'm not so great at spending time on MySpace. I get lost trying to find my own page. But if that's where you hang out, let me know and I'll try to visit more often!

TEACHER BECOMES STUDENT! Aug. 23 - 28
I'm taking "The Art of Movement" Workshop - and so can you!

Let's take a workshop together! When my own workshop at Celebration Barn is over, I'll stay on as a student for the Aug. 23 - 28 "Art of Movement" workshop with Karen Montanaro. I've been coaching with Karen for many years (see my blog post about how I began) and we try to schedule our two Barn workshops back-to-back so students from my "Performance for Musicians" workshop can stay on to work with Karen. I'm thrilled to be joining them this year!

Karen's workshop is both for performers and your "average Joe" who wants to "move" their lives forward - literally and physically! Sign up for both workshops (my Aug. 16 - 21 intensive and Karen's Aug. 23-28) and you get to hang out at The Barn with us two full weeks PLUS you get a 10% discount off the price of BOTH workshops! Register Now or Learn More about the Workshop. -- or, if you want to ask Karen questions directly about whether this workshop is right for you, Email or visit her website.

I hope to see you in an audience, a workshop or cyberspace soon!
