Check out my totally manic video about the show. I made it sitting in my studio right after I came home from debuting my new Jimi Hendrix medley at the Regent Theater with the incomparable Ultra-Sonic Rock Orchestra. It's on my 11-11-11 Event Page.

And check out my very short and totally manic video about it.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL SEE AT THE SHOW: First of all, I'll have my brand new chrome-silver 'Hip-Harp" that arrived just last summer from France (yes! it still has a romantic French accent!), my looper and distortion pedal and of course I'll be singing.

You'll hear some of my favorite songs from my last three shows, "Honey, I Shrunk the Harp," "Electra's Lyre" and "What the Hell are you doing in the Waiting Room for Heaven??" plus my new "Sous-Chef Blues," "Cirque du Lune" and Railroad piece -- PLUS my new Jimi Hendrix medley (on 2 harps, guitar and tuba!) -- and videographer and filmmaker Ian Brownell will be taping it all for my new demo reel.

And my incredible special guests will be joining me for pieces from Blues to "Over the Rainbow." So if you want an uplifting, funny, way-out-of-the-box, totally-not-what-I-expected, That Made-Me-Feel-GREATexperience -- spend THIS FRIDAY - 11-11-11 with me at the Regent Theatre!

Plus ... did I tell you ... "11-11-11" is my birthday! So I hope you'll be there!

P.S. For those looking backwards and forwards ... last weekend we had a GREAT launch of "Pluck U" - I'll try to post some of the photos soon on Facebook. We rescheduled my Nov. 5th show that was cancelled because of lack of electricity in Connecticut -- it's been rescheduled to Sat. Feb. 4th! And I'm heading South to Georgia & Mississippi later this month! I'll be in Waynesboro, Georgia (near Augusta) on Thu. Nov. 17 and in Gulfport, Mississippi (between Mobile and New Orleans) on Sat. Nov. 19 where I have the honor of opening the season for "Arts under the Dome." It's all at my tourpage! And if you can't find the info you need there, email my office at info@HipHarp.com and let them know what you need to know! Check out my tour calendar for a list of all shows.

Guitar legend Steve Vai calls her the "Jimi Hendrix of the harp." The New York Times credits her with shaping the serenely Olympian harp into a jazz instrument by warping it closer to the Blues."

Deborah Henson-Conant's music ranges from Blues to Flamenco, in a relentless exploration of the instrument that was invented specifically for her by the CAMAC company in France: a 32-string, 11-pound electric harp she slings on like an electric guitar.

She combines music, theater and humor - with a voice, which has been compared to Carly Simon and an onstage energy that's been compared to Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry.

"The instrument forced me to rip apart any preconceptions. Nobody had ever tried to get these sounds out of a harp, so I simply had to stop thinking of it as a harp, and open my mind to everything else it could be," says the composing performer. That led to the development of music that's won her a GRAMMY nomination, PBS television music special, first prize in the "International Songwriting Competition," and invitations to perform worldwide as a solo performer and with orchestras.
