Terrifying
Elf Invasion leads
to Musical Treasure!
ARLINGTON,
MA. In
this sleepy township just
outside Boston, a terrifying
Elf Invasion last week
led to the discovery
of a box of priceless
first edition CDs previously
considered lost. The
Elves (pictured above)
appeared cute at first,
but later led office
personnel from this
independent music firm
on a wild
goose elf chase into the
creepy basement.
"I
never like going to the
basement," said artist's
assistant Beatriz,
"But when I do, I like
to stay near
the door."
Last
week, however, she and
electric harpist Deborah
Henson-Conant ended up
in Deep Basement Space. "Bea
can be a bit balky about
the basement," said Henson-Conant,
"but once those elves were
down there, I knew we had
to ferret elf
them out. There was clearly
something they wanted --
and whatever it was, we
wanted to get at it first."
"We'd
just finished uploading
our new 'Holiday
Download Collection,'" said Beatriz.
"I think it's possible
that was what attracted
them." Whatever
it was, the two independent-music
adventurers lost no time
going after the elves,
venturing deep into basement
territory, past the unused
treadmill and the home-for-aged-printers
("Where
we did stop briefly"
says Henson-Conant, "You know how
the old printers are
- they miss the days of
paper jams.")
"In
the end, it was all worth
it," Beatriz beamed.
"Look what we found!" In
the furthest shelf of the
basement, the two had stumbled
onto a find beyond their
wildest dreams! A pristine
box of vintage FIRST EDITION
"Alter Ego" CDs, each signed,
dated and numbered!!
"They
look almost exactly like
the "AlterED Ego" CDs we
sell now," said Bea, "but,
look! They're missing the
letters "ED" in the first
word of the title!"
"That's
because the commercial
version was completely
different than the limited
FIRST Edition" agreed
the intrepid harpist "and these are
the last 18 in the whole
wide world!!!!"
"You
mean the last 18 that we have,
right?" said Bea, "because some people bought
them 14 years ago when
they were released,." But
the harpist was too excited
to talk. All she said was,
"They can read all about it on
the new "DHC
Limited Edition" page."
And
the elves?
"Well,
they seem to have disappeared
for now," says
Bea, "But
I do keep hearing
tiny sleigh-bells. "
"Probably
tinitus" said
the harpist. "I
understand
holiday harp music is
good for that." Maybe the
new Holiday Download
music in the next section
of this email will help...

Artist
Takeover!!!
The
essence of an artist's "direct-to-fan" performance
is for an artist to approach
EVERYTHING with the same
performance values that
they bring to the stage. So
Deborah has taken over
the online store for
the holidays... and...
yep... it's definitely
getting more creative!
For
one thing, we now have
two different stores:
- One for immediate
downloads, like
our new "Download
Collections"
- One for the
real, tangible merchandise in
our Catalog,
with the our NEW "Limited
Edition DHC" annex
page with one-of-a-kind
and
some-of-a-kind limited
CDs
Is
it confusing? Umm.... well,
no. I mean, yes. Well,
not really. OK, sometimes.
So if you get confused,
just email us,
tell us what you want to
order and we'll figure
out how to get it to you.
See you soon!
p.s.
I wrote this whole thing
so if it sounds like I'm
talking about myself
as if I'm someone else,
I'm just pretending. |
