Dear Friends and Fans, It's my birthday this month! I started performing birthday concerts when I was 19 and it's still my favorite way to celebrate a year -- and this year I have SO much to celebrate! My first Grammy Nomination, my first PBS Special -- and other great firsts. (Plus, unlike my FIRST birthday, I won't be mashing food all over my face.) This year the concerts are at a beautiful old Firehouse that's been restored as a theatre. The Nov. 9th birthday show sold out quickly, so we just added a second show Nov. 11th - my actual birthday! So call or go online for tickets now - they're selling fast! (You can click the image at left to get to the Ordering Webpage for my show). My Birthday Bash is always a little more interactive than most concerts -- and the added show, with a 5pm showtime, is great for all those folks who come up to me after shows and say, "Oh, I wish I'd brought my kids!" Now you can bring them and even get them to bed on time! Performing shows that people can enjoy across generations is important to me. As a kid, I went with my parents to everything from jazz clubs to opera. Experiencing these things with my parents, things that spoke to all of us, was an important way for me to connect with them, to have a shared experience -- and to get to see them laugh. I particularly enjoyed performing my own renditions afterwards ... and seeing them laugh even harder. So please come join me, bring your friends and family.
