First we learned the basic vamp structure (Am – Am/G# – Am/G – Am/G#)
Then we added a samba feel and a ‘release’ section (||: D7 – E7 :||) with a count-in to get back to the vamp. And a kerfuffle at the end.
We did call-and-response during the vamp section, over the looped accompaniment. For the release sections, I comped for everyone.
