This FAQ is for indiviuals who are trying to buy a Hip Harp Academy course.
Here’s what happened:
- Aug 11 2023, Leigh to HHA: I cannot check out. Every time I try, I get the message “an unexpected error has occurred” etc. I’ve tried on different computers, so I don’t think the problem is on my end. Please help! I am trying to buy the “One Song: the Nightingale” course using PayPal. Thank you.

You’re the second person who’s getting the same error. I’ve just sent this problem to our technical team and I’m hoping we’ll hear back from them a little later today and be able to get back to you with help.
We’ll get back to you as soon as we can. We’ll get you in! - Aug 11 2023, DHC, J, and Rhen re-created the problem on their end via Zoom and figured out that the error happens only on Nightingale via Paypal.

Our team did some investigating and discovered that the issue is related to a Paypal connection error between our order page and their platform. This is why you’re receiving the error message. We would like to request that you could please try to complete the order using your credit card instead. Another person with the same issue as you was able to successfully place their order this way.
