16:41:41 From Lawrence Johnson : Any tips for making a smooth turnaround at the top of the gliss? Turn around seems easier at the bottom.
16:45:25 From Joke Verdoold : It helps me to make a kind of 8 form movement.
16:50:15 From Cherrie Mooney : I liked the idea of modulating while glissing, a smooth transition.
16:50:47 From Joke Verdoold : Glissing makes it easy to change the levers.
16:51:17 From mona : Infinity gliss
17:11:08 From Carol Booth : It was so fun… because I was totally free to make as many mistakes as the universe contained
17:11:20 From Joy Zahner : Great base to start – can go anywhere with this!
17:11:29 From mona : A workout! Fun because I played along but nothing like you yet kept with the chords and key changes so easy now
17:11:39 From Melinda Ostrander-Aviles : Fun, even though I am not at my harp today, so it allowed me to groove along in my head and also write down my notes and really understand and review the theory.
17:11:48 From Lawrence Johnson : Fun because it shows a way to keep improvising, key to key, major to minor, on and on.
17:11:54 From Fern Nelson : While you were focusing on left hand I was steady trying to figure out how you were making those fabulous melodies with your right hand
17:12:31 From Tara O’Brien Pride : I had a good time figuring out smooth moves with open-voiced chords. C-G-E goes to C-A-F which goes to D-B-G, for example.
17:12:50 From Julia Cunningham : That was fun! It would be great to use in a gig situation when you need some “filler” music…. The possibilities are endless!
17:13:08 From Midyne Spear : Melodies started to evolve in the right hand. Used LH patterns I’m really comfortable with.
17:13:23 From Susanne Reimoser : It was fun because the flavour of sound changed while just doodling along the same things with the right hand. I also liked the change to minor.
17:13:50 From Laurie Grant : It was fun to re-learn patterns of going down to relative minors, moving progression in 3rds, or walking bass down…. Also a great exercise in changing rhythms using the same progression pattern. Not at my harp this time, so watching and listening was fun!
17:16:44 From Cherie Maffey : I liked to slow down the rhythm when we went to minor, just allowed me to hear the difference.
17:26:39 From Cherie Maffey : This can be so simple and effective!!
17:26:50 From Midyne Spear : Playing to the camera!
17:26:53 From Lawrence Johnson : How easy it can be to create a greeting. No fancy playing needed.
17:27:18 From Tara O’Brien Pride : First look at the camera, then figure out what to play without looking at the harp (much).
17:27:34 From Joke Verdoold : Making is easy this way. Now I just have to find a list of people who would like a musical greeting.
17:27:34 From Nancy Cochran : Flexible and effectivw, you can practice looking at the camera for connection.
17:27:36 From Carol Booth : The importance of looking at the camerahaving love and showing it in your face… of having fun and showing it in your face… and gesture…. gesture …
17:27:38 From Laurie Grant : Practicing looking into the camera – with a fun attitude – will make it much more comfortable when recording the greeting!
17:28:33 From Cherrie Mooney : An intimate, personal greeting
17:28:43 From Tammy Halun : Angel mode Harp tuned to Eb with D and G raised
Eb F G# Ab Bb C D#
17:29:13 From Nancy Cochran : Can you put Angel Mode levers up in the Chat?
17:29:35 From Cherie Maffey : Do you still use the G in the bass with the angel mode?
17:29:53 From Sally Walstrum : Angel mode gliss for Peddal harp – D#, C, Bb / Eb, F, G#, Ab
17:31:59 From Carol Booth : Are you saying Angel mode is the key of Aflat
17:32:02 From Carol Booth : ?
17:32:41 From Carol Booth : Biggest takeaway: Connect by looking into the camera as if into your lovers eyes!
17:32:54 From Lawrence Johnson : Replying to “?”

Pentatonic scale. 2 of the 7 tones are duplicated to reduce number of tones to 5.
17:33:23 From Cherrie Mooney : Takeaway: Think of who to send a personal greeting card
17:33:33 From Sally Walstrum : Carol, she’s used her levers to make a pentatonic glissando. Harp tuned in E flat. Put all levers down and then raise your Ds to sharp and your Gs to sharp
17:33:42 From Tara O’Brien Pride : Angel mode is a pentatonic,, so there are only 5 notes. You can add C# to that for another beautiful sound (almost like modulating).
17:34:17 From Joke Verdoold : Gliss if you have to change tonality and you don’t know how.
17:34:30 From Laurie Grant : Thank you!
17:34:54 From Joke Verdoold : Thank you for this other session giving so much idea’s
17:35:03 From Susanne Reimoser : Thank you, it was lots of fun!
17:35:21 From Nancy Cochran : Thank y ou!
17:35:22 From Carol Booth : Thanks it was great fun, invigorating and inspiring
