Henson-Conant’s mission when it comes to solo harp composition is to expand the harp repertoire from two directions: to create complex pieces that challenge both the performer and the listener, pushing the boundaries of what the harp can express AND creating both simplified versions of these piece AND trainings so that she’s supporting both ends of the harp ‘technical-ability’ spectrum.
Her solo works range from intimate, reflective songs to bold, virtuosic pieces that blend classical and contemporary influences. Through her compositions, Henson-Conant invites listeners to experience the harp in new and unexpected ways, offering a deeply personal musical journey.
