DHC’s Legacy Project Team Welcomes You to
The DHC Errata Lab
This errata page provides a list of errors in DHC works that are currently on sale (well … the errors we’ve found). Trust me, we will never find all the errors, but we’re working on it.
If you have questions about something in your music that you think may be a mistake, please check the current Errata List first if possible. Please know that we may not be able to respond quickly … or even slowly, but we will try!
If you find errors, please use one of the following methods to share them with us. We will gratefully use your comments, suggestions, illuminations to update the next edition of each piece, and we will share an updated copy of the Errata List as often as we’re able. Here’s how:
Use the Errata Form
- Fill out the Errata Form – this is easiest when you’re just pointing out one or two errors on a single page.
- If you have a lot of notes, you can load them all into the “Anything else you want to tell us” field – to add additional errors if you’re an eagle-eye who’s found many of them
If you can’t use the Errata Form
- If you have trouble using the Errata Form, you can submit your errata through the Ask a Question form. Please only use this form if you are unable to use the Errata form.
- Please make sure you include
-
- The name of the piece you’re providing feedback on.
- What’s the file edition date? (you can find this at the bottom of each page – or the front of the sheet music)
- What’s the file version? (you can find this at the bottom of each page.)
- What’s the page number where you found the error?
- In which staff did you find the error? (Ex: Treble, Bass, Flute, etc.)
- What’s the measure number?
- What type of error did you find?
- Description of the error.
- Would you prefer to send us a image or a scan of the error? (Make sure you still provide all the info above) (Please note that this form will only accept up to 5 files of 5mb each)
- Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
- If you have any problems opening the Google Errata Form you can also use the “Ask-a-Question” form and just make sure you provide this info for us:
You can “Show us” in an image or Video
- Draw the correction or circle the error/question-area on your music, take a picture, share the image with us by the link in the Errata Form (coming soon-ish).
- Make a clear video of the errors you’ve found or the corrections you suggest. Please share a video of the sheet music (not of you playing it – although that’s fine as additional info) — and make sure the page number and name of the manuscript is clear. To share the video link use the Errata Form (coming soon-ish). Make sure you share the video as unlisted (on youtube) or share it as a Loom video.
Edit the Current Edition PDF as a Team Member
- Request access to the current edition that the team uses to coordinate the errors we find. If you’re an Ace-Error-Finder, we’d love you on the team and we can give you access to comment on the most current edition of the manuscript.
We’re not looking for perfection ….
The point of this Errata List is not to make the music perfect. That will never be possible. But it is simply to compile errors to update in the next version and to be able to share when there is a mistake in the music, in part so that harpists who are using this music in competition will be able to share any corrections they play with the judges, who may be reading manuscripts with slight errors.
