In between the music is the connection.
Between composer and performer.
Between player and audience
Between mentor and emerging voice.
Between joy and full self–expression.
It’s where music transforms into a relationship.
Where technique surrenders to meaning.
Where something private becomes shared — and something shared becomes alive.
Last month, my music was played in Kyiv — in the cold, under air-raid sirens, with only a generator to run the lights.
I was reminded that music doesn’t exist to be perfect. It exists to be necessary.
