As a composer, the delight of hearing my music performed by someone who clearly loves the piece, feels like a creative collaboration. Here’s a beautiful performance of my composition, The Nightingale, by harpist and singer Christy-Lyn – making her kitchen into a concert hall.

Christy-Lyn says this about the song. “This is the kind of song that makes me jealous that it wasn’t me who wrote it! Thanks to Deborah Henson-Conant for this heartfelt, poignant song.”

Well I say … THIS is the kind of performance that makes me so happy I wrote it! I also LOVE the stove in the background. Absolutely every phrase Christy-Lyn cooks up in her performance is warm and sweet.
