I went to a rehearsal of the new cabaret “Never Far From Home” last week and … I gotta tell you … the way they performed my song “I’ll Be Your Sous-Chef, Baby!” I was blushing! Yup! It was that good!
Check out a video of the group singing my song “Complaining” with some great additional dialogue by playwright Lydia Diamond. And read reviews here, and come see this great new show with me – I’ll be in the audience the final weekend (see how to get 1/2 priced tix if you use my name below!)
I LOVE hearing great singers sing my music and during the next two weekends four great singers are singing three of my cabaret songs at Central Square Theater in Cambridge, MA at 450 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge, MA 02139. And this is them!

They sing three songs of mine: one from a show called “Marketplace Cabaret” called “Complaining,” “I’ll Be Your Sous Chef, Baby!” and my song about making it through … “Congratulations, You Made it This Far!” – along with a lot of other great songs from composers, all of whom live in the Boston area … except Prince (yes, they did one song by Prince which totally blew me away.)
Me? I’ll be in California until closing week, but YOU can can go anytime from June 20th to the 30th and if you use my personal DISCOUNT CODE, “DHC” (see above) you get half-price tickets!
Come early and you get complimentary JellyBeans (my faves are the Jelyy-Noirs!) and lobby performances by some great Boston-area musicians.
Here we are, last Friday night at the rehearsal – playwright Lydia Diamond, director Megan Sandberg-Zakian, Musical Director Timothy Maurice and another of the composers, my great friend Michael Wartofsky and the cast: Cheo Bourne, Jen Ellis, Brian Richard Robinson and Kami Smith.
