“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”  ~ Anais Nin

Feeling like you’re ‘stuck to the notes on the page’ might be the best thing that ever happened to you.

Here’s Why: Most people don’t change until they really experience that they’re stuck, when they really feel the frustration. Anais Nin, one of the most creative and courageous women in literature said it beautifully in the quote above.

“Blueprints for Creativity” is a brand new program at “Hip Harp Academy” that breaks music down so that you have a FOUNDATION for a new level of creative expression – a way that FREES you from the notes on the page and lets YOUR creativity blossom.

Are you ready?

I’m SO excited to FINALLY share the BRAND NEW “Blueprints for Creativity” program with you, BUT, if you haven’t watched the Structure is Freedomwebinar replay yet, I want you to that first.

The FREE one-hour webinar is perfect for you if you’re looking for any of these:

  • A fun piece of music that’s easy and quick to learn – at your exact technical level
  • A way to develop your improv skills while playing
  • A piece you can use immediately in therapy situations
  • A fancy showpiece

How is ALL that possible with one Blueprint?

Here’s how: When you start from a Creative Blueprint  like the one you’ll get in “Structure is Freedom” you can build it out in many different ways – from therapeutic to showpiece –  starting at your current playing level.

It’s completely different from learning sheet music because it breaks the piece down the way a composer would – down to the basic structure – and then teaches you how to use creative skills to “build it up” – creative skills that expand the more you do it, giving you greater and greater freedom.

If that sounds impossible, just watch the replay and you’ll see how simple it is. It’s not magic (though it definitely feels magical). It’s just a different way of understanding music – a way that composers have, and that you can use, even if you never intend to compose a piece of music.

How different is it to play from a Blueprint?

To get the idea of how different this it is to play from a Blueprint, imagine the effort of memorizing a Shakespeare play – versus having a conversation about a subject that’s interesting to you.

Memorizing the play will take a long time, but will make you sound as smart as Shakespeare, so long as you stick to the script.  Having a conversation allows you to  actually connect to people, and develop your own ideas and ways of communicating them.

Playing from a blueprint is completely different from learning sheet music because it breaks the piece down the way a composer would – down to the basic structure – and then teaches you how to use creative skills to “build it up” – creative skills that expand the more you do it, giving you greater and greater freedom.

The SWEET SPOT

“Blueprints for Improv” is part of a brand new program at “Hip Harp Academy” to give you a foundation in creative expression.  It’s part of a “Pre-Academy” training to work on the goals and gaps in how you develop the creative side of your harp playing.

“Blueprints for Creativity” teaches you to generate music from a creative Blueprint so you can quickly develop new repertoire that sits right at the SWEET SPOT of your personal skill level.

Having music that’s built for you (BY you!) lets you play with deep musicality, connect with others and create a repertoire that feeds your creative soul as you truly connect with yourself, your instrument and your audience – whether that’s an audience of thousands or a single listener at bedside or in your family.

Each Immersion class was recorded live so you get to experience the vibrancy of learning with others, along with playalongs and questions the live participants asked – so you can get the answers.

What they said…

Here’s what some of those first students said about the program:

“I liked stripping it down to the bare bones. I get too wrapped up in trying to play from the score.” ~ Sally W.

“Wow I feel that I can already play it even though I don’t know all the notes on the page. I love the way the structure can be morphed to suit the situation.” ~ Ruth S.

“Looking at the structure really made it easier to play.” ~ Ellen B.
